For IRS Credit:

Tax Insight reports your continuing education credit hours to the IRS if you have provided us with your PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number).  Credits are determined by your sign-in and sign-out for each segment of the course.  Failure to sign in or out for a segment will result in no hours reported for that segment.

For Commissioner of Insurance Credit:

This is a separate sign-in from the IRS sign-in, and is available at the registration desk.  You must attend the entire course to receive credit.  The Commissioner of Insurance grants NO credit hours for partial attendance.  Tax Insight reports your attendance.

For Wisconsin Continuing Legal Education Credit:

Attorneys are required to report their own attendance.

For Certified Financial Planner:

Forms are available at the registration table.  You must fill out the form and return it to the registration table.  Tax Insight then reports your attendance.

For Wisconsin CPA Credit: 

CPAs are required to report their own attendance.

Time Schedule

NOTE:  This course has been expanded to 4 full hours for 2018!

Registration: 7:30 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.
Class: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (noon)


Participants will receive the 2018 Agricultural Tax Issues book authored by the Land Grant University Tax Education Foundation.


The fee for the 4 hour course for 2018 is $105 and will include materials and refreshments.


Gregory Bouchard is the Director of the Cornell University
income tax schools. He is also a senior business consultant for
Farm Credit East, ACA, where he is responsible for tax training
as well as consulting directly with clients regarding their estate
and business plans. Farm Credit is a major provider of tax
services, and Greg’s specialty is partnership taxation. He has been
an instructor for the New York State Income Tax Schools for 18
years. Greg is an author and a reviewer of the National Income
Tax Workbook.





Tax Insight, LLC, makes no arrangements for participants attending the Wisconsin Agricultural Tax Issues Courses.  If you need hotel accommodations please make your own reservations directly with the hotel where the meeting is held. 

Inclement Weather Policy

In case of inclement weather (determined by Phil Harris, Director, Tax Insight, LLC), you may choose one of the following two options: 1) receive a partial refund and have materials mailed to you or 2) transfer to another course location on a space available basis for a small fee.

Tax Deduction for educational expense

Treasury Regulation §1.162-5 permits an income tax deduction for educational expenses undertaken to: (1) maintain or improve skills in one’s employment or other trade or business, or (2) meet express requirements of an employer or a law imposed as a condition for retention of employment, job status, or rate of compensation.

Registration Confirmation

We will send a confirmation letter to you by email when we process your registration which will serve as a receipt for fees paid. If you do not receive a confirmation letter after two weeks, contact Tax Insight at 608 831-1040 to confirm your registration. Please bring the confirmation letter to your tax course in case there is a question about your registration.

Cancellation Policy

To cancel a registration and receive a refund, you must contact Tax Insight at least 7 days before a scheduled tax course. We deduct a $10 cancellation fee from the amount refunded.  We do not give refunds for cancellations we receive fewer than 7 days before a course.

Transfer Policy

You may transfer to a different location up to 7 days before a course.  There is no transfer fee.

Substitution Policy

You may make substitutions at any time at no charge.  We appreciate advance notice of substitutions to speed on-site registration.

On-site Registration

We accept on-site registrations if space and materials are available.  Please bring a completed registration form with you to speed up the registration process.
